Becker Method TA Overview
The Becker Method TA ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) is an advanced, prefabricated, custom-fit orthotic solution for a broad range of pathological gait abnormalities, including:
- Stroke
- Multiple sclerosis
- Cerebral palsy
- Spinal cord injuries
- Other complex neuromotor disorders
It was designed to work with the Becker Triple Action multi-function ankle joint, and removes the technical challenges associated with designing and fitting a custom AFO.

- Prepreg flat footplate fits patients preferred shoe and provides rollover and energy return for more efficient gait

Tuning & Sizing
The Method TA uses Becker’s Systematic Tuning Procedure™ for Triple Action ankle joints and provides simple instructions to quickly fit the orthosis. Becker's tuning method aims to standardize and simplify the tuning process. You can download the tuning guide here.
